Bailey studied Illustration at Utah Valley University. Bailey is an Illustrator, Astrologer and Tarot Reader. These themes inform a lot of her work. As a mother of two little girls, she also finds inspiration from the magical whimsy of childhood!
She blends creativity and mysticism to connect with others, empower women and inspire wonder. ✨
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born near the beautiful mountains of Utah and live here with my husband + two daughters.
WHERE DID YOU STUDY?
I studied for a BFA in Illustration at Utah Valley University before stepping away to self-supplement my own art education through various online and local courses.
WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?
I work almost exclusively digitally on the Procreate app on a 12.5” iPad Pro. I also work with gouache and prisma-color pencils during my sketching and studies to help keep my digital work less rigid.
CAN YOU ILLUSTRATE MY BOOK?
Unfortunately, I don’t work on self-published projects. While self-publishing can be a rewarding endeavor, I believe it’s important for aspiring illustrators to engage in opportunities that offer fair compensation and professional growth in their desired field.
For more immediate and cost-effective illustration needs, I recommend exploring platforms like Fiverr.com, where you can find talented illustrators who can bring your self-publishing ideas to life. Thank you for your understanding and best of luck with your project!

DO YOU DO COMMISSIONS?
Thank you for your interest and your support! Unfortunately, since I am working full-time on my personal projects, I’m not taking on commissions at this time.
WHAT ARE YOU PRICES?
Since I am not taking on commissions, I cannot share a price list.
CAN YOU WORK ON THIS PROJECT FOR EXPOSURE?
Like most professions, I do prefer to be paid for the work I do! :)
HOW DID YOU DEVELOP YOUR STYLE?
After listening to a podcast episode where she was asked the same question, I followed in Rebecca Green’s footsteps and started to trace! Tracing animals and poses with tracing paper and digital tools like Procreate is a quick way to get going (with out plagiarizing of course), it’s meant for practice before you can draw from reference in a way that is truly your own. The more you trace the more you can learn to simplify forms. I practiced my art fundamentals such as anatomy + composition as well in my University’s Illustration Program. Once you’ve mastered the basics, eventually color preferences and design choices become clearer to you. However, style will often change over time, or be specially catered from project to project. And that’s okay!
WHO ARE YOUR GREATEST INFLUENCES?
This list changes all the time as well! Eyvind Earle, Mary Blaire and Martin and Alice Provensen are some of my greatest influences. I am also ever-inspired, by many contemporary illustrators! To name just a few would be Carson Ellis, Rebecca Green and Lisa Congdon.
